Forest Law |
The Managed Forest Law program (MFL) is a forest management program that shifts most of the property tax burden on forestland from annual payments to a harvest tax that is paid when revenue is generated from timber harvesting. Below are several publications and forms that can help you understand and navigate the program.
In the summer of 2003 when this website was created, changes were pending in the Legislature to change the MFL program. For the latest information on the Managed Forest Law, please visit the Wisconsin DNR website.
You should also contact a professional forester for assistance.
